Lab-Grown Diamonds
Real Beauty, Responsible Choice
Lab-grown diamonds are sustainable man-made diamonds created in highly controlled laboratory settings where the natural process of diamond growth is mimicked. These diamonds are nearly identical to natural diamonds in size, clarity, and colour but much more affordable and eco-friendly. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds as they have the same chemical and physical properties.
Why are lab-grown diamonds cheaper than natural diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are less expensive than natural diamonds because natural diamonds take billions
of years to form, which makes their supply limited. Like natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are also
created under extreme pressure and heat but they come without the cost of mining. They are produced to
match the market demand and are therefore more affordable than natural diamonds.
What makes lab-grown diamonds eco-friendly?
When it comes to choosing the perfect diamond, many people are looking for more than just beauty and
sparkle. They want a diamond that is also eco-friendly and sustainable. That’s where lab-grown diamonds
come in. Unlike natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled laboratory environment
and do not require the destructive process of mining. This makes them a more ethical and eco-friendly
choice for those who are conscious of their environmental impact. In addition to being environmentally
friendly, lab-grown diamonds also use less energy and produce fewer carbon emissions during their
production process.
How are lab-grown diamonds made?
There are two main methods for growing lab-grown diamonds: High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and
Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD). HPHT diamonds are created by replicating the high pressure and high
temperature conditions that occur deep within the earth, while CVD diamonds are grown by depositing
carbon atoms onto a substrate using a chemical process. HPHT diamonds tend to have more colour and may
require additional treatment to remove inclusions, while CVD diamonds are typically colourless.
